Sleep deprived was I, silently lying at the back of your throat.
Sleep deprived was I, silently lying at the back of your throat. Yet never did I pass your virgin lips. Doubtful to what your eyes hold, I find myself far behind something greater. A project left unfinished. Tears cloud up my sight to be brushed away by cold, untouched hands. My shoulders hardened underneath your touch to the burdens you left surpressing me. Sunlight shines through the dirt, clenched blinds in my life. The sunlight seeps through the blackend heart you have created keeping it beating. Beating for you. Something I would never give was death. What I wouldn't give to live forever in your shadow. I knew better things were outside these walls you have built. You never unlocked the door. Should I wait another day or leave this as something I couldn't finish. Your wish marks the decision I make. I let my eyes close and the dust fly away.
