Night falls
The wind started to howl
Its voice echoed through the evergreen
As disquietude shifted o'er the land.
Leaves waving nervously clung to the trees in fear of falling.

Murky fingers meandered aimlessly
depositing a dewy crest,
while shimmering specks of light were cast from above.
Alas, the heavy black ridge dangled ominously.

Night had opened its door and released its darkest shadow.
