This is about someone who always tore me down and never had a good thing to say about me.
Have you ever had someone who tore you down?
Who never said anything good to you;
gave you more insults than compliments?
I have.
They never let you believe that you're special enough,
that you're good enough for what you want to do.
They always say, "You could do better."
"This isn't good enough."
"Are you proud of this? Because I'm not."
They never believed you when you said you worked hard.
They always assumed you were a slacker;
that you didn't care, that you weren't even trying.
Yet you were trying so hard to impress them,
but they keep pushing you down with insults.
They never cared enough to see you were trying,
that you were doing your best.
Because to them, your best was and never will be good enough.
And when you believe it, that's when they win.
And that person has won.
