Destruction

John was an average 12 year old 7th grader. As such, his mind was full of fantasies of a realm of magic, and conquest. He always wanted to be a part of it, saving the day, as he had seen many popular heroes do in comic books and movies.
He wondered, "What would it be like, to travel to the other side of the galaxy, zapping murderous aliens with a photon gun?" Of course, no one else bothered to think about it, and ridiculed him at his lack of knowledge.
"How," they wondered, "could anyone travel to another dimension? The idea is preposterous."
So, John was alone in the world, used to being isolated and shunned by others.
