few lines, many meanings.
the thing about oatmeal is that it is thick
like a brain I guess
to conquer the oatmeal you have to be quick
and you think that I jest
but it's true I assure you the inconsequential
will wrap you and rape you
until it is useless to be confidential
bowls of the oatmeal in mornings so new
sat in my bowels and laid to rest
I'm don't think I'm special this I insist
but the spice of Cinnamon stayed I confess
it was only the morning that bade me the twist
the thick oatmeal blade that slid down my wrists
the imperfection
of oatmeal completions
and if all of this
is but a raisin
and if life is a list
that lacks rhyme and reason
I would like to add sweet cream
to the meal that I dream
and thin up the thickness
in health
or in sickness
