Just a little letter i wrote to myself,
A Letter in Prose
By: Julie Tapia

I sit and seek all that must be,
I find that seldom is there anything I need.
Here before me, in my friends, in my family,
In my children, in my pets, in my God,
I am more than rich,
I am more than successful,
I am beyond prosperous.
I have all that I have dreamed of,
I have more than I could desire,
Here in my security, in my spirit, in my love
I am all that I want to be and more.
I have no reason to fear tomorrow,
I know tomorrow may not come,
I have no reason to complain about today,
I know today is a special gift,
I have no reason to dwell on things past,
For I know that the Past has made me who I am.
I am thankful for all that I have,
For the sweltering heat,
For the freezing rain,
For the loss of my house,
For the loss of my job,
I am thankful, not because I am ignorant,
But because I know that now,
I can dwell on things above.
All that I have lost,
Has granted more than I could dream,
Fear not for what you’re facing,
Regret nothing you have done,
Learn from today that tomorrow,
Should you be granted it,
Can show all the glory of what is.
This is only one thing,
That you love like it can’t hurt you,
For grace is granted not by choice but by love.
