You know the sound of the cracking glass under your feet?
You step so gently to make sure you don't cut yourself...
You take simple baby steps, just trying to glide across the floor...
But you begin to notice that on the glass behind you there are red markings, stains...
You had been bleeding all along, its just gone unnoticed...
Now you pick up your leg and stare in awe at the bare of your foot, torn, shredded...
What happened to your protection? Your covering?
The little shell that held your foot so tight, so warm, was it ever there?
The pain begins to sink in, to run through your veins...
All of your life is slowly draining from your body, your soul screams as your heart aches..
Breathing becomes unbearable, death becomes sweet...
Can a simple bandage heal a wound carved so deeply that it burdens the mind?
