I am lost, but I know how to be found. Didn't mean to delete this--had to repost.

How to Take Care of ME

A child with asthma and allergies,
A child very sensitive—with allergies,
A husband recovering from surgery,
When do I get to take care of me?

Pain, numbness, and swelling,
On the cause I am constantly dwelling.
No time to find it out,
I’m too busy running about.

My symptoms are affecting family care,
Better go and see what’s there.
I’m not doing it for me,
I am doing it for we.

I d everything for us or we,
And nothing for I or me.
I have lost myself in the family,
I have to find myself for ‘we’ to truly be.

A walk a day hurts a lot,
But will give a bit of ‘me’ thought.
A goal or two to reach as well,
Could be exactly what’s needed to ring my liberty bell.

I once knew how I was,
But over the last ten years it’s become a fuzz.
I had my ‘me’ time and them too,
Now “forget me” the children just went Ah-choo.

What have I become?
A wife and a mom.
What was I before?
All that and more.

How to take care of me?
A goal—graduating college a
And gaining knowledge.
A goal—“spring cleaning” the house
And getting rid of that useless blouse.

Walking a little each day,
Will help in many a way.
Maybe that one will be a family affair,
After all, a part of me will always be there.

I must take time for Kat,
Or the others won’t know where I’m at!
