This is a nightmare I had.
I was lying in my bed and I could see a large round shadow on the ceiling. I didn’t think anything of it at first but the shadow appeared to be getting larger. Aware that it was only a shadow on the ceiling I sunk into my blanket. I closed my eyes to clear my thoughts of the round shadow on the ceiling but I could feel it getting closer. I opened my eyes and the shadow appeared larger than it had previously. I was frightened so I leaned away and turned my head.
The round shadow on the ceiling was touching my neck and I turned to face my fear, knowing well that it was nothing but a shadow on the ceiling. I reached out and felt cold beneath my fingers which stubbed into something without warning. It was then that I realized the shadow on the ceiling wasn’t a shadow. Two round black eyes opened and stared at me. The shadow on the ceiling seemed to be crawling over me so I spun out of bed and ran down the hall.
I opened my parent’s door and walked into their bedroom. My father sat on his bed and looked over his book at me. I sat down and looked into his round black eyes. He asked me in a deep voice, “Is something wrong?”
I replied back cautiously, “I just had a nightmare.”
He appeared amused and asked, “What about?”
I told him my nightmare.
