A short poem about the ability of life to go on.
We are the fallen
Those who watch, and wait,
Who find solace in time

Perhaps others may forget, but
You and I, we remain
Ever vigilant
To watch the wayside
And guard
To prevent the swelling of our ranks

Let it not be said
The fallen are silent
The fallen are broken
The fallen are lost
Say instead
We are looking for the way
Together
You and I
We who fell by the wayside
Of life.
