Boating on the river with a difference
Today was a special day;
Today I took to the River Tees in a Wheelyboat
Boating made accessible to all,
As the Wheelyboat is moored I drive my powerchair up to the helm,
I am free at last; free to go where the water takes me
Me, my powerchair and an accessible Wheelyboat

The River Tees might be surrounded by business parks and developments
To me I was free, no longer part of the hustle and bustle
Free to enjoy my surroundings that where once inaccessible
As I sit and enjoy the view, the only sound is the sound of the engine
Peace and quiet with only swans for company

Waving to all the fishermen on the riverbank
Where they surprised to see a wheelchair going along in the boat
No because the river is now accessible to all
As we turn and sit quiet for a minute or two a dragonfly lands on the water
Landing with not a care in the world and taking off again

As we turn for home the Infinity Bridge comes into view, closer and closer
In now puts a different meaning to Infinity and beyond
It is now Wheelyboats and Beyond
