Would you die for love? or would love kill you first?
I look around this empty desolate place. It is much like my heart, which has been stung by poison as the people who I love and have loved have been taken from me. A bitter aftertaste lies in their place, once happy memories have been wrapped in barbwire and to remember; is to tear holes in my heart. So as I run for my life across the moors I shall tear the barbwire off those memories despite the pain! I must tell my story, no matter what!
First we shall start with the person whom chases me, who hunts me. He has hunted me before but in a very different manner he used to love me and I believe he still does. It is his hateful witch whom seeks me dead, she is the Queen of darkness, Satan’s daughter herself and she calls herself Emily.
Maybe it’s all the losses she suffered, all the children whom have died in her womb or weeks after birth. It is probably all that she has lost; that has turned her bitter over the years, loss affect people in many ways some people cannot cope; some cannot cope, others go mad and then others like Emily who continue but at the cost of being bitter and twisted for the remainder of their lives.
The sound dogs dragged me back to reality. I gathered the remains of my crimson skirts and ran faster. My heart pounding; my hearts screaming for air; my legs begging for mercy! Since dawn I have been running on and on. Ahead of me I saw tree, yes a forest, yes a opportunity to lose my hunters. I glanced around to see them; there they were the famous trilogy! The Knights of Dark! They galloped towards me, intimidating me on their huge black Friesians, their swords glinting in the sun. I ran as the Queens personal assigns’ chased me on and on. The thought of them strikes fear into the hearts of many and here they are chasing little old me!
Five hundred yards, come on legs; just five hundred yards please! I prayed, begged and told myself over and over again till the coldness of the shade hit me like a brick! The smell of wild garlic kissed my lungs as I took deep breaths! Yes I had made it; I tripped and stumbled down the steep, slippery hill. The cold, wet soil moved from under my feet as I jumped the streams and roots; my tired legs catching the tops of the roots or just missing the banks of the streams. I needed to hide, I was becoming to weary, too slow witted, too easy to catch!
A rose bush laid ahead of me it bright red roses shouting defiance at the dark and dismal wood. No too obvious to hide in, I kept running. As I did so, the ground flattened out as I came to the base of the hill, a river lay in my path. Yes I shall head upstream so the dogs cannot follow me! I stepped into the water with trepidation, trying not to make a sound. I gasped as the cold water hit me, creating iron bands around my chest; they were so tight it was hard to breath. As I waded up the river it was purgatory for my legs as the day's running had already used up their strength. I did not know how much longer I could last. My body was so weary, I was afraid that I would just collapse. I glanced behind me to see I they were insight and that's when I saw it!
A cave, I turned allowing the tide to aid me towards it. As I did so I looked at it in more depth, it was hide in the bank itself. Ivy hung over the top of the entrance and there was a large smooth stone overhanging the river. I hauled my cold, drained body onto the wet, slippery slab of stone. I crawled into the surprisingly light cave; the sun sent its tired orange rays into the cave, warming it. I curled up under the incoming rays, my legs aching, my hands throbbing, my heart pounding. My hand instinctively fell to the locket, he gave it to me but it was more like a statement of ownership than a gift. I was the playing porn between the king and queen of England and it was not a nice situation to be in! The race was on to see who could catch me first.
I tore the locket from my neck as I did so the chain bit in to my neck. The blood soon stopped flowing. As I looked at the locket, my heart boiled with anger. I could feel his unwanted hands on my body, his unwanted mouth on my neck, his breath on my face. He look like an angel with is long curly hair which shines like strands of gold; his eyes which are so blue their almost purple; his soft pampered skin on mine. I cannot go back! I cannot go through that again; i shall not go back!
