about a child with a strange problem. Seen throught her mother's journal entries.
Losing Sarah-Alice Tate.

23 Febuary 2007

My bedroom window, over looking the sea.

Sarah is different to the other children I see on the playground, she never screams, laughs or runs around, she is ever so silent and will not move away from the sea if she has too.I try to help her along and invite people from her school around, but she has no friends. She dresses differently as well, long flowing skirts in fierce magentas and bright bottle greens,Tops that look as though they were onced owned by a gypsy and she never wears shoes. Her hair is beautiful though, long and jet black, framing her face which is tan and freckled from the sun, though I am very fair.I van't understand her she just stands by the sea and stares, she doesn't talk to me and she acts like a full grown adult although she is only 7.I feel like she is an old spirit and like she has been here for a long time, longer than any of us.

The beach, Sarah's birthday party.

Today is sarahs birthday, I have not let a single detail slip in the planning of this party, entertainers such as Luis Rebisy( a famous country singer) attended and many many more.I imported foods from the mainland and a large cake as well, music is balsting full volume and children everywhere, she wanted to have it on the beah and so we did,but she is still just staring out to sea, not moving and barely giving a care to whats going on behind her, it is as if she didnt know that it was her birthday, this greatly confuses me and it also confused all of our guests, it was rather embarrasing actually.
