For those who played Dragon Age and know what I'm talking about this poem is for Loghain.
Oh he’s just a man no more no less.

Yet all they see is a hero’s success.

Oh he’s only human that’s all he’ll ever be.

But to them he’s not like you or me.

A knight in shining armor, something glorious and pretty .

A symbol of perfection never ugly never gritty.

Standing on his pedestal of fame and adoration.

Not a man just a symbol to a nation

Oh he’s not so pretty, he has his faults and a secret.

When he was just a man he misses that time with regret.

Oh how he hates the adoration, the awestruck stares.

For now he is chained to the standard he bears.

So when he was dishonored and the image distroyed

The pedestal crumbled falling to the void.

He fell below back to earth again.

How grateful was he once more a man

A man not an image, not an idol, not a hero

For that pedestal was more trouble than they know
