A poem about the night.
Time of Darkness

The night is a mysterious time,
When everything hides, out of sight.
From shadows to thieves to the River Thyme
Nothing can be seen at night.

The sun sets, under the horizon.
The moon comes into view.
Stars appear, or sometimes none.
Streetlamps turn on, old or new

While we sleep, there is a lot of activity.
Cats prowl through the streets at night.
The owls take off into the night with a cry of glee.
Bats appear from their caves, but without sight.

Vampires rise, those mysterious entities,
Wolves howl, piercing the silence of the night.
When they meet, they meet as enemies,
And they will most likely fight.

The night is a mysterious time,
Where everything is out of view.
From shadows to thieves to the River Thyme,
Nothing can be seen but the odd few.
