A Promise

IS THIS A PROMISE YOU EVER WANTED TO HEAR? I SURE WOULD MAKE A PROMISE LIKE THIS. But only to my soul mate.



It was like a dream come true. I was so thrilled to meet you. Seeing you standing near the ATM, I just couldn't believe my luck. Finally, we had a week together. A week which I am going to remember for the rest of my life. I hadn't planned anything, but somehow knew that it would be memorable. My lady, nothing is worth forgetting when I am with you. World is just different around you. Even, I am different, that's the effect you have on me. When I am with you, everything makes sense, and I get to see a part of heaven. A heaven so beautiful and tranquil, that I tend to lose my way. And then you come along, an angel in disguise and guide my way back. Making me believe in myself and bringing out the best in me.



I am so grateful to you, for showing me life is beautiful if you have someone to share it with. During that week, the most beautiful thing was gazing at you, at the movies, malls and in the car. I loved holding your hand, feeling your face. That soft skin brushing through my fingers, those shy eyes which didn't need any excuse to blink softly but would respond to my touch whenever I cupped your face in my hands. And then the most wonderful thing would happen, like a birth of a miracle, I would see your face change color, slowly into red. Like a bud blossoming into a stunning red rose. It is such a beautiful sight, something that I would like to treasure forever.



Every day and every time, whenever you are with me, I perceive that you are completely with me. Not worried or anxious about anything but enjoying that moment with me. I am so thankful to you. One more thing that comforts my heart is, I always know, how you feel and what makes you happy. I never had to ask you, how you felt, because we have connected so well. The way you look at me and your eyes they explain it all.



I on the other hand, never feel uncomfortable sharing my feelings with you. For me you have always been and are my better half. I love talking and sharing everything with you. You always reassure me and guide me wisely. I have learned so much from you, most importantly, how to be a better person. The best quality in you is, you put your heart into everything you do and firmly believe in, hence making you a perfectionist. And the other fact that I adore about you is you are always thinking about the welfare of the people around you.



I keep saying to myself that I have found an angel and wonder how could someone be so perfect? A person, who’s become the reason of my sleepless nights and loss appetite. That I can’t stay without a minute, gazing or talking to you. The more I am with you, the more I feel complete. Now that I have found you, and know the effect you have on me, I don’t want to lose you. Life feels so impossible without you and your love.



All the coincidences that occur around us, and the signs which are shown to us, when we are apart from each other, points to one thing and one thing only, that we were meant to be together. And will find true happiness only with each other.



Today I want to make a promise to you. A promise as sacred as the vows taken at a wedding. I promise, you will always be the one for me. I promise, I will always love you like the first day I laid my eyes on you. I promise, I will always listen to you on all aspects of our life together. I promise, I will share everything with you and take the most important decisions only after discussing it with you. I promise, to be, by your side through every emotion we go through. I promise, to make you laugh whenever you feel low or cry with you if that makes you feel better. I promise, to shop with you and spend as much time with you as I can. I promise, to take you on long drives, and sit under the starry sky, holding hands and whispering my love to you. I promise to make you my first and utmost priority. I promise, if god willing, to get old with you.



People say, the minute you take your last breath, your life flashes in front of you, beginning from the time you are born till the day you die. I pray to God every day asking Him to bless me with only one memory. The memory of seeing you turning red with shy. That would ease my pain and make my death painless.



I really do ask myself sometimes, what did I ever do, to deserve such a sweetheart like you? You are truly my soul mate.
