A poem about fall...or maybe more?
Fall Hacks


A tree above the yard
hacks its leaves
it is dying for now
we do that sometimes

Leaves burn with bravado
hacking white smoke
returning for now
we do that sometimes

Colours run into your heart
hacking a path
planting new seeds
we do this sometimes

Strong flowers struggle
feeding the hacking bugs
holding on to now
we do that sometimes

A tree above the yard
is bare, hacked
dead, for now
we do, sometimes
