Sept. 8 – Already a few days into school and I’m super popular with the boys. Okay, well not super popular but I definitely got looks as I walked down the hall. Okay, so the looks were more disgust than desire. How was I supposed to know I had a patch of hair growing by my ear? Mental note, pay more attention to exactly when the moon phases are.

Sept. 10 – Okay, so have I ever mentioned how totally gross this stupid curse is? I woke up this morning and both of my knees were covered in hair. I mean, eww. Dad’s going to be totally ballistic when he finds out I plugged the drain.

Sept. 13 – I can’t believe it. Mom is mangling my cred. I begged her to let me stay home until my condition passes but she said ‘no go’. This year is turning into a total lamefest.

Sept. 20 – Okay, so I haven’t written lately. You don’t know how hard it is to keep up to hair that grows stupid fast. On the plus side, Nikki said that Stacey heard from Ashley who heard from Mina who heard from Kelsey who heard from Mike that Colin Mavery is crushing on a certain ‘you-know-who’. Will keep you posted.

Sept. 21 – Colin got his friend Mike to pass me a note today in history but horrible Mr. Huxton yanked it outta my hand before I could stash it and he read it out loud. I swear I died right there. On top of that, tonight’s full moon is giving me wicked stress. I mean, isn’t it inhumane to lock up your own daughter just because she’s all feral and stuff? My parents just don’t understand. Oh and BTW, Colin wants to meet me at the movies on Saturday. Super excited.

Sept. 22 – When I actually want to go to school mom’s all ‘you’re staying home in your condition’. All I did was bite the neighbour’s dog. Stupid thing was uber annoying anyways so I don’t feel bad. I sent a text to Nikki to tell Mike to tell Colin that I’ll be waiting outside the theatre. I hope he wants to see ‘Guys Dig Chicks’ but I’m betting he’s gonna pick ‘Dead Flesh Rising’. The trailer was massively scary and gross so I’ll be keeping my eyes shut a lot.

Sept. 24 – I was right. Dead Flesh Rising was as gross as I expected it to be. The weird thing was that Colin jumped more than I did. This explains why he couldn’t talk to me. I think I might ditch him for a guy who’s less sensitive. Who knows how much he’d freak if he saw me all growly full moon.

Sept. 25 – So mad right now. Colin told the whole school that I was the one acting all ‘fraidy. When I saw him in the hall after math, I punched him and of course, he had to go cryin’ to the principal. Now I can’t go back to school for a week. I don’t mind. I’m not the one running around with a black eye.

Sept. 28 – Can’t wait till school next week. Nikki passed me a note when she dropped off my homework. Colin’s now the school loser and Kent Rickman, the coolest boy in school, thinks I’m great for punching him. I think this year’s gonna work out great.
