There is always hope
When naught but darkness fills your sight,
In life and love, you'll lose the fight,
A nice thought keeps the dark away,
The challenge is to make it stay,
To stop the darkness coming back,
And staining heart and mind jet-black,
Loved ones and friends bring light to you,
And stop the dark from breaking through,
So, as the Sun feeds life on Earth,
A friendship can, to joy, give birth.
