remembering the past but living for the present
Hurt untold, as my heart unfolds.  Times of pain unraveled lifting light into my eyes.  The world around me brightens sorrow shrinks into the shadows.
Extinguished tears are dried from dew.  Cries of suffrage are crusted cold.  Vain waxed heart is warmed to glow.
Amber glow fills the soul.  Healing scars are beauty shown.  For the past has formed the present only better than before.
Love has turned the tidal wave to brushes on the sand.  Bruises healed and eyes shining with hope again.  Bonds are broken and new ones have begun to form.
Everlasting though the past maybe the present is the time that holds the key to one’s own destiny, for suffrage is only a passing thing and scars are what lives in hearts and halls of fame.
Damn the one that hurt thy soul and damn the ones that forbid to hear the deafened cries, but the scars are healed and victory was reached for the one I love is the one I’ll keep.
