However bad situation might be,a speck of hope takes one gliding from darkness to light!!!
The warmth of the cozy corner of my room,
The glow of splinters of fireplace at bloom,
The soft glitter of the candles lit,
While mom sits and my sweater she knit.

I felt the warmth, the light, the love
A smile did spread, one too wide,
Which was rare, since troubles thrown my side.
A cold blast of wind, a rattle of window,\
I woke with start and my dream was shadow.

Seemed like years since a smile did last,
Mirror was accustomed to frown come fast,
Peace of mind overshadowed by clouds dark,
Tension had mind gripped, fear did heart.

When will this cloud pass?
Rainbow and sunshine would darkness mark,
Life from effort to pleasure turn,
Smile from an eye to another run.

All that warned my cold heart was hope,
Mind, to keep heart alight, did try,
To make it strong, even of had it to lie,

With days of undying consolation,
I took a strong resolution,
My feet, my mind and heart,
Dared to take a step from darkness to light,
Enough strength, enough step,
A glowing spark in heart kept,

I know, with time’s flight,
I will have a foot in light,
And the next step I take,
I will be out of darkness for my own sake!
