Where did you go, Mom? For Cramp 111410
The Deserted Cottage

The cottage is there,
Stands in good form;
But, tenant is gone
Tho’ nary a storm.

The cottage is there;
Structure remains,
Its roof now weathered;
Abandoned domain.

The cottage is there;
Are you there? Hark!
Where once shone forth light,
Windows are dark.

The cottage is there;
Abducted life,
Mom’s no longer home:
Alzheimer’s rife.
