An exercise where I looked a photograph for 3-5 seconds and wrote a blurb. Series of them.
In love with the idea of flight
The freedom silhouettes have is uncanny

Trenches act as sanctuaries
Prayers are still prayers

Cloud of the industry
Lights up the darkness of the industrial

Innocence left on a beach
Like ruins of a sandy empire
The doll is Montezuma

The faceless occupy space;
A space contained by steel

“MUST SELL ALL MAKE OFFER”
Grab the lightbulbs while you can

Doll of the lepers
The baby is Dorian Gray

Television reflects reflections.
Reflections we only dare to look for.

Mexican wisps melt into blurry atmosphere
Devoid of cloud & color

A curtsy; a clothesline
The start of something apocalyptic

Desperado rides forth
A Paul Revere with an attitude
Damn the storms

Empty drop off zone,
Unless the chairs were left
For them

Blurry childhood rolling away
As I stand with my father in the sun

Flowers tainted by the blade
Gardening assassination

Faceless lovers at
An informal masquerade

It’s time to let go
Of the spotted freedom.
