Do you believe?
The room is dark. Terrance is laying awake in his bed. the shadows of the treebranches on his wall looks like arms reaching, trying to grasp. Grasp what? Terrance often asked himself this question. He often finds himself staring at the eerie shadows of the trees apendages dancing on the wall. The howling wind almost sounds like voices, like small deep whispers. Its nature's way of speaking. But what is it trying to say? Terrance turned over on to his other side so now he is facing the window. The curtains look like a girls dress blowing in the wind. It reminds him of that famous picture of Marilyn Monroe. Terrence begins to drift off into the unconcious realm. His eyes become heavy. its almost a burden to keep his eyes open. As hes trying to sleep he hears a low whisper coming from behind him. He cant make out what its saying. Hes too tired to turn around and check it out. "Teeeerrraaaannnnccceee...." Terrance jerks to the end of his bed. He knows he heard his name. He looks around the room but nothing is out of the norm. He quickly disregards the situation and lays back down, this time facing the wall with the shadows. He starts to drift into sleep again. "Weeeee...areeee......GOD!' Terrance shot out of his bed this time. He clearly heard this voice. It was raspy and aged. He went straight for the lightswitch. To his dismay the lights would not turn on. He frantically flipped the switch up and down. He turned around to see his window slam shut. He grasped his doorknob. The knob turned to dust in his hands. Terrance knew something was going wrong now. He was contemplating on if he was dreaming or not. These thoughts were cut short when the shadows on the wall began to take form. They took a human like form. On all four walls there were at least a dozen black figures. Terrance jumped on to his bed. He was petrified at what he saw. He found himself pinching his arm so hard he started to bleed. The black figures started to move and twitch erratically. A strong wind started to build moving in circles around the room. The figures seemed to be moving closer with every twitch they made. They were saying something. Not of any language Terrance knew of. It almost sounded like a chant, maybe even a prayer. The black shadow-like figures now surrounded Terrance's bed. Terrance was trying to sream at the top of his lungs but couldn't muster the stength to. The figures then each put a hand on Terrance. Terrance felt at ease when this happened. Almost as if the shadow figures touch had a morphine effect. Terrance felt safe now. All Terrance could see were the heads of the figures staring down at him. He didnt feel like he was in his room anymore. No, in fact, he sensed machine and mechanical things around him. He heard the buzzing of a saw. That was followed by a loud gut wrenching scream of a woman. Terrance began to feel uneasy again. Still all he saw were the black figures standing around him and a dim white light in the background. Terrance had no control over his body at this point. He felt completely paralyzed. Though he felt his consciousness coming back. He began to see more colors, but it was still blurry. The black figures started to look more human like. The black slowly started to fade into wite robes and pale skin. The figures were no longer hovering over him anymore.Terrance could see two of the figures standing about five feet to his left. He couldn't turn his head to look. He began to see very clearly now. All he could see was a grey metallic ceiling with a blinding white orb of light over him. He tried to make out the faces of the figures in his peripheral vision but it just wasnt clear enough. He could see that they were drapped in white shiny robes and had long silvery white hair with very pale skin. The figures approached Terrance. Terranced now realized he was in some sort of hospital or something because he was secured in what seemed to be a stretcher. The figures now loomed over him and now Terrance could finally see their faces. They Both had very pale skin with high cheekbones and deep blue eyes that seemed much bigger than normal. As he looked harder he could see purpleish veins at the temples of the figures faces that appeared to pulsate. Terrance stared deep in the eyes of one and felt terrified. These figures did not look human to him anymore.they looked divine in a sense. As he still gazed in to the eyes of the one he began to hear a voice inside of his head. "Do not fear us, for we are your creator, we birthed your species on this habitable planet." Terrance did not know what to even think at this point. Could this realy be God? "Yes Terrance, we are God, your species was created by us in our image, we are the caretakers of this planet and many more like this, we fear for your planet, you will be the destruction of yourselves, i can tell that you are thinking why you are here, or more importantly, where you are. You are in good hands now i can assure you, your body will be used for extensive human DNA research, no harm will be done. You will wake tomarrow morning with no recollection of this ever happening."
