Don't fall for a girl with a God of a father...
She dazzles me with her twinkling laugh and sparkling smile. She dances beside me, twining her lucid body to the beat of the drums and lute as the played brightly in the dim and smoke filled inn. She was a stranger, come to stay for the night and joining the merriment of the summer solstice. Her hair was strange, glimmering in the light as white as bone, but she was no old woman. She was very much alive as she spun around, grabbed my hands, and lured me outside into the grove of trees. The moon shone brightly and lit our way as she led me further into the trees to a small stream.

"Ah haha!~" She laughed and spun around, seeming a dizzy, uncatchable thing. "You are such a fine young lad! Tell me," she got close and I could see her eyes that seemed to glow with a clear, translucent light. The light drew me to her words. "will you come away with me and serve me as a lover?" She laughed again and took her lips in mine. I felt the ground, suddenly, quake and I broke away. I looked towards the sky and it was lit in the night.

"We should head back," I said, though I wished to taste her lips once more. "Seems a storm is coming."

"Yes," she said and looked at the sky with some hidden dark look. "We should go."

But just then, as she tried to lead me back, a tree roared to our feet, struck down by the electric force. She gasped and whirled around, shouting to the sky.

"Father! Show thyself and do not end his life!" She cried. I looked around, fearful. She seemed to be shouting at the sky. She was mad.

Suddenly, he appeared, a man with flowing hair that matched hers and eyes that glinted just as strangely. "Daughter, have you no shame? A mortal man! Letting him kiss you?! You have put a spell on him you have!" He shouted and the very night shook.

"Father please!" She laughed. "He is in love with me and under only a spell used by all women." She winked at me coyly and I shook my head.

"Who...who are you?" I asked to whoever would answer.

He thundered back first. "I am the God of Lightening and Storms! And my daughter will never have the likes of you!" He flashed his fingers at her and in an instant she fell to her knees. She was imprisoned in a cage of lightening bolts, her clothes changed. She was like him now, I saw it. The black and grey that shone in a cloak around her, her hair as white as bone and eyes glowing that clear silver. It blew over her face in waves, hiding her emotions from me. She didn't move.

"Don't hurt her!" I cried despite myself. She had seemed so fragile.

"Ha! As if anything can harm that harpy! That cage is the only thing that can hold. This is what happens when I choose an siren as a bride! Bah!" He clapped his hands and they vanished. But I heard her say...

"Never forget this! Never forget me!"
