This is a poem I wrote for the upcoming 6th anniversary of a lost pregnancy.
I carried you for a short time,
but you were not mine to keep.
Now the angels above hold you tight,
in their arms as I weep.

I pray to God to give me strength,
to move on with each day.
Questioning why he took you
and wouldn't let you stay.

There must have been a set of wings
too small to fit another.
So you were called to your heavenly home
before meeting your father and mother.

God must have needed you,
needed you more then me.
But I know someday,
it will be your tiny face I see.
