Communication problems that define us. We were just incompatible.
In the context of our conversations, I’m constantly caught in tangles
Lost in a half step of wondering what words define us.
‘Cause where we stand. I’m unaligned chasing broken angles.

Wedged in the push and pull of heavy hopeless shackles.
What ways would I want her. Maybe the answer would remind us.
‘Cause where I stand. I’m unaligned chasing broken angles.

Sweet words leave lips then become contorted in my rambles
Wishing I could turn back time and have a second to rewind us
Because in the context of our conversations, I’m constantly caught in tangles .

Falling forwards towards forever but the moment grips me by the ankles
We break our fall on poetry that’s written deep inside us.
But in the context of those conversations, I’m constantly caught in tangles.

She holds my ears with wilted whispers. But it’s all too much to handle,
The persistence in her indecision, when she can never make her mind up.
‘Cause where she stands. She’s unaligned chasing broken angles.

So we just burn the last bit of the wax and wick of this slowly dying candle.
We go unto the sleepless night. The flame soon will fade. Our time is up.
Lost in the context of our conversations, still constantly caught in tangles
‘Cause where we stand. We’re unaligned chasing broken angles.
