One of the first poems I took seriously. Wrote this back in 2004 or so.

A crimson dream just saunters by,
My hopes and fears all locked inside.
Of soaring heights I'll never know,
Of pitchest night where demons grow.

I see your face, the heaven's dim,
your voice calls out above the din.
It's then I know where I'll be safe,
in your embrace, that chance I'll take.

The sweetest kiss, a loving touch
that soft embrace, a heated blush.
I'd trade these not, no, not a one.
I'll keep them mine, 'til life is done.

Beyond the pale, I'll think of you.
When all is dark, and time is through.
In Heaven's light, or Hell's embrace
I'll think of you, this time, this place.

For now I sit and dream of love,
of dreams and hopes best un-thought of.
But even while I ponder this,
I'll think of you, and that sweet kiss.
