Third Week of the 5-part series.
Her heart's rose stands lonely
in the humid air. Like him, she
longs only for past memories
to end and new ones to begin.

Her body remembers his touch
against her skin. His petals
tracing the curve of her body,
pressed together into one.

But the glass traps her delicate
rose, suffocating her in time's
perpetual moment. Like a world
of shooting stars, she is lost in
memories of him.

In his heart, a single petal falls,
not to the ground to wither, but
by his voice, it's carried to land
at the feet of her rose.

There it stays as a reminder
of his heart's beat. A calm guide
during the storm, and a gentle
whisper from her lover's mouth.

"I love you."

And the glass surrounding her
rose shatters, allowing his touch
to cool her petals.

"I love you too."

Her whisper reminding him that
her rose is forever his.

And his forever hers.
