A poem inspired by a dream I had during the time my infant daughter was dying.
Restless soul; Tormenting
Endless mourning; Horror
Overwhelming need; Depth
Take my breath away; Tragedy Beckons me
Happiness condemned, loneliness is familiar
Love? Yes. Security? No.
Emptiness becomes my comfort.
Nothing inside; Nothing to hide.
Cheyanne dreams; Tips of angel wings
Blinding fear, fall free solitary tear
Take flight burdened soul.
Agony free, paradise breathe.
Mommy? Speak to me. Guide me, ease the pain.
Angel on my shoulder.
Who are you? Who am I? Who are we?
I cannot speak. My heart aches.
Mind races! The words do not come!
Damn! Walk away; slumped
Forever, never, gone.
Eternal love; You; Me; Us.
