About being poor
More money, more problems, that's what I've heard them say
So easy for them, when their not living pay to pay
I can't pay the light bill, I can't pay the water
I can't get my teeth fixed, not sure why I even bother
I can't pay the gas, I can't pay my phone
I can't even afford to heat my own home
I get shut off notices, and threats of eviction
Your right being rich, must be a terrible living condition
I'd hate having the burden of having bills paid on time
Not having to worry, or having to consider a life of crime
It must be so terrible being able to buy anything that you please
You couldn't live one second, in a life of poverty
You don't know about fried bologna sandwiches, or plain ketchup bread
Or calling a boxspring and mattress on the floor a bed
You don't know about using socks as gloves, or drinking kool-aid
You don't know what it like to have to give up on all the plans you made
No options for the future, no one to offer a hand in a crisis
Being rich might bring problems, but I'm willing to make the sacrifices
