Poem of love, commitment and desire
© 2009 - Nataliea AKA Jess Rosewell

In a whisper I scream for you

In a whisper my heart yearns

Aches for you

Only for you

How but for a whisper can I share with you my fears

In a whisper

If I tell you how delicate my soul, how torn am I for the times past

Only in a whisper

Yet I urge that you find no fault in me, see what you see

Find in me your strong, indestructible bride

Powerful, radiant in iridescent beauty

Your jewel, your prize.

Though tell me alone in a whisper

Let not your eyes weep for my past

Let there be only tears of joy

Let laughter resonate from the deep within

till at last it fills your mouth

That I may kiss and taste

and feed.

For your love has been as armour, my shield against the ferocious winds

The rising tides and cursing mouth

How do I speak of my horror when I fear more the horror of the pain you feel

Only in a whisper

My love speaks loudly of your shimmering heart

but too

there is still

a whisper

I shout, speak, sing, dance in the shadow of your love

In a whisper
