chapter one

lying on my side i looked out of the window, yet another rainy day, the rain made a gentle pattering sound on the window that was both soothing and annoying, rolling off my bed i padded across the room to the computer and sat down.

on a rainy day in Ethrion there isn't much to do, all my friends where back in Hudon where i used to live, i sat at the computer and quickly checked my e-mail, nothing interesting there, just the usual spam main, after a couple of minutes of surfing the web i decided to take a look at the school I'd been transferred too after moving here, it looked alright, defiantly an improvement to the shabby look of my old school, all the pictures where of in the inside of the school so i didn't get to see what the building itself looked like, from the amount of rooms it had i gathered that it was big.

i looked around the site a bit more but found nothing of interest and decided to get to know this new place that me and my parents had moved too, my dad was a business man and the company he owned had just gone international, i didn't see it as a good thing, i hardly saw my dad as it was and knowing that he would be gone a lot more often made persuading me to move difficult.

after a moment or two of just sitting and staring at the now blank computer screen i got up and changed from tracky bottoms and a baggy t-shirt into a pair of sturdy jeans, a thick huddie and to top the look off i put on my pair of steel toe caped boots, they where comfy and protected my toes from my clumsiness.

ten minutes later and a lecture from my mum on not to wander to far as dinner would be ready soon (i swear that woman still thinks I'm 7 not 17) and i was ready to explore, the house that my dad had bought was close to a massive forest, he may have bought it but I'd picked the location as i was always looking for an adventure to go on (no wounder my mum still thought i was 7) my adventures in the past had gotten me into trouble quite a few times, believe me when i say running from the authority is not fun, especially when there used to running, the only advantage i have is that i'm really good at climbing walls are no though obstacle when it comes to a 17 year old that still likes climbing trees.

walking up the dirt path that had been created my many feet over time i got a look at my surroundings, lush green trees marveled my eyes as i strolled peacefully through the quietness, the only noise to be heard where the wind blowing through the trees, the ever present chirping of birds and my feet making a slight echo as i walked.

after a while of walking the dirt path gave way to undergrowth, i was tempted to step off the dirt path completely but knew that dinner would be ready, turning i made my way back to the house.
