A poem about about a wife longing for trust and a little space in her marriage
Trapped in a cage of your emotional complications
I am a frumpled feathered bird with clipped wings
A misunderstood conundrum
A puzzle you have yet to figure out
The sky is yours to soar through
The wind yours to lift you higher
Yet you stay grounded and lay blame upon me
Are you feared to let me fly or jealous?
Do you worry the wind will carry me to the place
in which you yourself long for.
Through the bars you hold me within
I see the world I am desperate to be included
And still I hold hope you find within your self that
in which will make you whole
And allow me to fly by your side
What is it you desire?
What is the key to your happiness?
Love is not jealous, Love is not conditional
Though I am broken and feel so small
That tiny shred of hope is all I have
All that keeps me alive
That precious hope you will one day find what it is that
you unknowingly seek and I cannot provide
I love you without limitation
I am not jealous and my feelings are unmoving
Through the joy and the mundane
I pray to the sky above that you will one day find the courage,
the strength to set me free and trust I will return to the nest
in which my life is centered
