Let the bitter run the nation
Step aside, let the bitter run the nation
Tear down these walls of beautiful creation
And watch the world fall to a deadly deprivation
It’s not the truth that blocks out the sun
But instead the words of those harshly undone
Set into motion under governments no one wants to run.
Must we always grieve as we fall to our knees?
Punished by those dominated with greed
Stepped on our backs, made us crawl where we once stood
Always with thoughts of the Little Engine That Could
Always the ones untraced and misunderstood
We are the ones forever dying to see the light
Still standing, but outnumbered in this everlasting fight
Only collapse will stop us from earning back our rights
The words for our leader are those of disgrace
Give us one wish, and it will be to spit in their face
As if we have a chance to finish ahead in this dying race
