Some people are never heros and leave nothing but memory behind.

Deeper than the greatest oceans
More sure upon the shore
Such legacy I leave behind
A love always for you.

What legacy will I leave this world once my bones go to ground
What noises will I resonate when voice is no longer found

A generation of children from one to ninety two
A legion of heirs will they trace back to me who
Have left this plain I hope for higher calling

The carving of initial scratched out upon the bark
Of me and of my lover,
friend, betrothed,
when we shaded in the dark

Who of you will remember me
What if anything shall remain

One who cannot declare artist
No such creator as
Picasso
Rembrant
Gauguin

Musician? sadly not
Bravo all you Master's of classical
Jazz and the Blues
I tip a hat to all of you

What legacy shall be mine once my bones go to ground
What noises shall resonate when my voice is no longer found
That I once loved so deep and certain

Deeper than the greatest oceans
More sure upon the shore
Such legacy I leave behind
A love always for you.
