Getting through Life
She walks on the longest road,
Broken and falling
The path ahead dose not sound promising.
Her friend dies in a car crash
Her heart breaks from her first love
She loses everything, and
Is alone
She falls to her knees
With no hope of ever getting up.
Darkness replaces light, and
She can't find a way out
She wants to stop, but
Knows that she must move on.
When all else seems lost
She finds hope
She finds light
She finds love.
Taking a step in front of another
Her road patches up, and
Darkness clears.
Now she walks on with nothing, but
A smile on her face, and
See's that the road ahead is going to be a good one, but
She is always on guard for the rough times.
