A thanks to my friends.
Yet in this sadness,
I see no way out
It's all coming back to haunt me

Tears roll down my pale face
I look back at the white screen
The words stare at me
Powerful words...

They tell me no,
Don't hurt youself again
But it's so hard to stop

I will not look at the scissors
I will not look at the pins

After the tears flow
For so long,
I rest in this lovely silence

They're there for me
As I struggle within myself...
