Better to have Loved

I am searching for my twin soul
She is trapped as a spark by a flame in this hell hole.
I was warned I would die if I came to this place,
Came in contact with the resident evil human race.

I see her now on my viewing screen
Living a life as if we had never been.
I meet her as a human would, over a drink and a laugh
I make her feel good.

I change silver metal in to gold
and make her young instead of old.
I reveal my spiky dark, dense face.
She is shocked, freaked out and runs from the place.

She is blinded by my heart shining forth
Like rays to the earth.
Her soft yielding soul binds my own to her
as soft rain to snow

The human vampires drain my light as blood,
They pass and walk with extra vigour.
I ebb and fade as she claws at me not to go.
She is betrayed and left alone

She will die soon
from a broken heart.
But better I came and loved
Than forever we would be apart.
