a depressing town
My Ghost Town.

I walked down the lonely street,
The buildings seemed so gray,
This town I've lived for many years,
Though no one knows my name.

The people here don’t stop and say;
Hello, hi or good day,
They saunter past their noses high,
And treat me like a wraith.

The trees surround this small town,
Like guardians of the gloom,
And keep this dark unholy pit,
In everlasting night.

I've never been quite happy here,
I don’t know why I stay,
I must leave this tenebrous place,
Or with my soul I'll pay.
