It's two am
And here I am. Wide awake. Sitting.
On an armchair with a broken arm.
Wondering how life has lost it's charm.
Pitch darkness of a moonless night.
Coincidence, serendipity, or just plain stupidity.
Do I see a resemblance to my life?
A big brown dog on it's guard. A grey cat on a nightly prowl.
The pole star up in the sky.
Between the sky and the ground. Owls on their merry prowl.
'Tis been like this all day long, Perhaps many days many months.
Just that today was a li'l bit more.
I didn't even succeed in goin' to daily chore.
Yes you were concerned. You asked me like you've done before.
And I told you, think I could've told much more.
Not much point, I knew in heart.
We agree in principle, unless there's a violent uproar.
But it's more than words, much more than wishes.
No good luck charm, no rags to riches.
Often said, rarely enacted, good intentions are not enough.
No I didn't intend to be rough.'Tis true though a li'l tough!
Well you woke up and said I've blabbered enough. Fine then,
I'll stop tonight. Maybe complete my tale on a full moon night.
