Poem About Feelings Towards An Individual And How It's Affecting Them
I loved you once not long ago
You broke my mind, my heart, my soul.
I’ve wondered round in circles since
Unsure of who is broken least.
It takes a lot to let others in
Yet you slid through as though they didn’t exist.
My walls, my pride, my defenses strong
Have withstood attack for ages gone
Yet here you came and in you slid
Blew them away like they were lint.
Now I know how to protect
My heart, my soul, my mind
Shall not relent
Lock them all out and me inside
Leave no connection that could be used.
I loved you then I love you now
The only thing I won’t repent.
You are not mine nor shall you be
For the remainder of eternity
But you knew then and should know now
You are the key to my smile gone
So I shall go and not look back
Remember all the good times we had.
I won’t say goodbye, farewell
Or cry cause if I see you I think ill die.
Its taken days, weeks and months
But I’ve weaned my mind of what your love does.
I wish you well my dear, dear friend.
I hope our paths shall cross again.
Our lives have crossed each others path
And now we shall spread far apart.
You were my one.
My special gem.
You’ll always be my one regret.
I let you down
I let you go
Just so you know
We’d always last
Id marry you
God Knows how fast.
You asked me once
The time wasn’t right
I want you here for my whole life
When I die
The last thing ill see
Is your face smiling down at me.
