I always find it unnerving and vastly sad to run across old bitter people like this one...
I always try my best to be upbeat day to day, despite what tradegy life throws at me. I find it slightly unnerving and vastly sad to run across old and bitter people such as the woman that inspired this piece. Hope she finally 'gets it' before she hits the dirt...

Recipe of a Hardened Heart

All the dirt and hurt within this world
Collects upon this once little girl
Bitter winds blow over bitter years
Anger’s fire bakes the dusty tears

She mixes disappointments' dust
And adds plenty of resenting rust
She measures out her tragic tears
Then covers up all her magic years

She lets the bitterness rise as a city
Sprinkles herself still with more self pity
She learns to refuse and refuses to learn
She bakes and kneads in a fiery urn

Such is the bread of her harden heart
Always eating away some inner part
At the womb she would barely try it
Now facing life's tomb, her steady diet
