He killed a man once, and now its killing him.
Forgive me O’ Father, For I have sinned.

The Devil had got into me,
The minute I committed the Sin.
Have been running from myself ever since,
And now from my conscience, I cannot Win.

Save me O Father,
Save me from the fear that now plagues Me.
I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes,
And his bloody face I still can See.

I killed a man in cold blood,
A man, somebody’s loved one, your Son.
He cried in pain, and called out to his creator,
And yet they say, the war we had Won.

He was young, and fair,
My brother he could have Been.
The bullet tore through his heart,
His blood too was red, now could be Seen.

Kill him, Your Enemy, they said,
And we will shower you with Gold.
But it was I who saw him die,
And somehow, now I don’t feel so Bold.

They shook my hands, Decorated me,
Made me rich, Sang my praises in Song.
But they do not see, it is not they
Who now lie awake those nights Long.

Father Forgive me, For I have sinned.
I am as guilty as the Devil can Be.
But I beg of you, make him go away,
I am also dying here, why can’t he See?
