This poem is about the intoxication of deadly love
I see you in the shadows that fall behind my eyelashes
It is funny how much love and hatred attaches
To your memory, my most lovely enemy
Wherever you are remember me
Our love is tragic, I am Sid, and you are Nancy
And I fancy a shot of you in my veins
Blow my brains with your breath like lethal Heroin
My blood becomes thinner then
I tried the patches, the Ritalin
But I can’t take the drug out once it’s in
I am swimming through your cocaine shore
My heart is pounding on withdrawals’ door
I won’t fight this anymore
Stick me once, twice, thrice
Throw me on the floor to sleep with Marijuana’s dice
High like a river, you break open my dam
You slide down my throat like ecstasy gram by gram
I begin to choke on your taste like Cardamine
Your unspoken words wrap around my spine
You break me down ‘till you reign over me
Still I need the fruit of your poisonous tree
This must be a dream fill me up on hypnocil
Awake I can’t see you, in a coma I will
Wrap my tongue around this last pill
I won’t be your last kill
