The heart of a child.
Have you ever been invisible
to goblins hiding beneath your bed?
Have you know the safety of white sheets
pulled tightly over your head?

Safe from monster bites
and witche's broom,
mean people and
things that go boom in the nite.

Ah to be childlike again,
to worry not of tomorrow,
unchained to yesterday.

The gentle afternoon nap of youth
beneath a cooling fan
and prehaps a cleansing rain.

Just to be invisible once again
beneath snow white sheets.
