Mother screams in anguish. Will you heed her screams of pain?
It was unbearable. Earpiercing... Pitiful... Heartbreaking... Screeches and bellows, shrieks and sobs, filling the air with a bloodcurdling aura.

A bewildered mother kept moaning in agony, begging, pleading... pleading for them to stop. Begging them to spare her. Her cries resonate, it echoes again and again through the dark night sky. Only the stars bear witness to her pain. Her children do nothing but stare at her. They merely listen and keep quiet in their corners, minding their own little matters as their older siblings "play" with mother. Her bruised face given light by the sun's first rays of light. She stands as she looks at her children, feverish and ill. Their abode gave no shade. No shadow, not even a cool breeze spared them. She walks to them, to shelter them in her embrace... Her blue eyes well up, flooding the soil with water. Her tears trickle down, unending, continuous... She can't help her children now. They have doomed their own fate. She quivers and collapses, sending tremors. They did not help her. They kept themselves safe in their homes. They kept counting their money. Blissfully robbing their mother of her riches, draining her of her treasures and selling them to their siblings. It was their trade... to rob her of her glory and bamboosle their own brother and sister. Mother lied down, powerless and frail. She remembers what she had done wrong to suffer such fate. She had given nothing but love. She had cared for her children... giving everything they needed. She looks directly at the sun, her eyes dry up. Her skin, became pale and lifeless. She whispers silently into the wind... knowing that her children would never listen to her anyways... "I love all of you... as the universe be my witness, I will give you everything." One child heard her, and stopped. He looked at her and saw his mother dying. He looked at his siblings who were still busy with their concerns. He grasped his pocket full of money and continued drilling a hole in the earth. Beneath the rubble and dust, there lies silver and gold.
