poetic comment about a drama queen
Drama Queen

Another stage another night
She finds another scene
Watching to see if they watch her
My friendly Drama Queen

She found a man who was the best
As seen through other eyes
He was a medal for her chest
He was the cherished prize

Minimalist Mike would never win
The hand of stuck-up Jane
And average Al who was, well nice
Was just an average brain

Histrionic, tonic or gin
She'll never mix the two
Forget her friend and run away
You simply will not do

Ever since I knew this girl
An actress she would be
Without a script without a cast
Her words came naturally

If you're wondering how it is
I know this girl so well
The answer once was on her chest
Before I had a fall

Jumping ship, you might say
Is something she does well
A winner I was no more
She wanted me in hell

I took her hint and climbed into
Those fiery depths of scorn
To my surprise I learned quite fast
It was just a little warm

In fact I found so many friends
That I had knew before
T'is better here than with her
Please dead bolt shut the door

By doing so I'll keep away
That devil who's outside
And to think that once I slipped and fell
And took her for my bride
