Growing up brought pain unknown to the inner child
Once I laughed as a child
Whose mind was simple and pure
Once I believed there was a
Star for each sleeping person,
As that is where you went
To dream

Now my dreams are trapped
Inside the empty Vodka bottle
Another night is forgotten

Once I smiled
Showing the world my
Soon-to-be straight teeth
Covered by braces

Now my eyes are heavy and
Inside the meadow are thousands
Of petals shaped as
Raindrops
Forming together over
The casket where

The cold beginning to a new life
Is begun
