From a collection written a decade ago. Such a beautiful time and place to have been.
Early morning thunderstorms,
cool air rushing in,
chasing away the hot.
Black cat sitting happy,
lost in a white laundry bag,
lost in kittenhood.

Flowers come and go,
Above Jim's grave,
ride the snake you know.
Yellow fallen leaves,
floating in the pools,
plop, the frog jumps in.

Luminous ball and blue clouds,
road stretches out,
music plays on.
The journey nears end,
no station to stop,
the train only slows.

Brick wall rushes past,
to focus on one,
blurs all else
and all is one.
